Select Board packet – received Friday, May 2nd for Monday, May 5th meeting:

•  The agenda for Monday’s meeting

•  The motion sheet for Monday’s meeting:  this contains suggested motion language and a way to record the votes for motions anticipated by the scheduled agenda topics.

•  A packet of information on obtaining the proposed Agricultural Preservation Restriction (APR) on the Tietjen property in South Amherst, which is part of Article 21 on the Town Meeting Warrant.  A cover memo from Conservation Director David Ziomek requests that the Select Board take two actions (make a formal announcement of the consideration to purchase the APR, and agree to reduce the State’s notification period from 120 days to 60) to hasten the process, should Town Meeting approve the article.

•  A request for a special liquor license for a May 13th event at UMass

•  Notice of the granting of a special permit for a Bed and Breakfast with up to six guests on South East Street

•  Notice of two Historical Commission public hearings regarding demolition delays, to be held at 7:20 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. on May 6th, for porches and outbuildings at 297 South Pleasant Street, and the east wing of the Lord Jeffery Inn, both owned by Amherst College.
