Select Board packet – received Friday, May 16th for Monday, May 19th meeting:

•  Agenda for Monday’s meeting

•  The motion sheet for Monday’s meeting:  this contains suggested motion language and a way to record the votes for motions anticipated by the scheduled agenda topics.

•  An updated summary of warrant articles with committee positions and speaker assignments

•  A packet of information related to Article 26 – Sunderland Road rezoning, including a Planning Board minority report; a map of Sunderland’s nearby land and excerpts from the Sunderland Zoning Bylaw; e-mail and letter from an abutter expressing opposition to the proposal; an April 22nd letter to the Gazette from the property owner, clarifying an article on the subject;  a May 14th letter to the Gazette from a former Sunderland business owner, expressing support for the proposal; and a comparison of the uses allowed under Amherst’s current zoning, proposed rezoning, and the adjacent Sunderland zoning

•  An explanation from the petitioner about Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, in support of Article 33, a petition to request that the Planning Board develop a bylaw amendment to require LEED standards for certain development projects.

•  A letter and other materials from the Amherst 250th celebration’s Community Week Committee, about plans to plant thousands of daffodils in October of 2008 for bloom in May of 2009 for “Amherst in Bloom.”
