  • A packet of Special Municipal Employee status information, including: a copy of the process document, approved 11/27/06; a copy of a 2/5/07 memo to boards and committees informing them about the process and the info needed for application; a op of the 2/5/07 meeting minutes where the Select Board agreed that the SME designation would remain unless removed; and a summary of SME information from the State Ethics Commission web site

  • A copy of Article 36 from the 1997 Annual Town Meeting, a resolution in support of bike lanes

  • Information regarding the creation of local historic districts, including an e-mail from the Historical Commission Chair to the Select Board Chair, and a pdf of a brochure from the Secretary of State's office and a pdf of a flow chart for the process of establishing a local historic district

  • Select Board members' draft budget questions for 10/25 Department Head meeting

  • An e-mail string from 2007 with Town Counsel, regarding what elements of a performance evaluation are public documents

  • A checklist with deadlines for the many elements of Town Meeting preparation

  • An election calendar with dates relevant to the 11/4 special election: 9/16 – last day to take out AND file nomination papers; 10/2 – last day to withdraw name from ballot; 10/15 – last day to register to vote; 10/21 – last day to post warrant; 11/4 – Special Town Election

  • Draft minutes from the 9/15/08 Select Board meeting

  • (A copy of the Town Manager's contract and copies of written letters offering comment for his evaluation would have been in my packet also, but I had picked them up from the office earlier in the week.)

  • Invitation to a Hitchcock Center Open House, 9/28, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • The agenda for the 9/24 Design Review Board meeting

  • The agenda for the 9/24 Conservation Commission meeting

  • A copy of a 9/13 article from the Greenfield Recorder regarding the Franklin County Selectmen's Association's vote to oppose the November ballot question to repeal the State income tax

  • Copies of ZBA Special Permits, decisions and filing notices for: modification of operating hours for Chez Albert; and allowing seasonal outdoor dining at Delano's

  • A copy of a notice promoting the 9/21 production of As You Like It at the Massachusetts Center for Renaissance Studies

  • Information from a group called “SPIFFY”- Strategic Planning Initiative for Families and Youth, regarding an alcohol purchase survey to be conducted over the next 12 months throughout Hampshire County, reminding liquor retailers to check identification of customers who may be under 21, and rewarding those that do so

  • Invitation to the Emily Dickinson Museum's anniversary celebration, 9/27
